About Dr. Niiang Mung

Dr. Niiang Mung is a board-certified psychiatrist licensed in both Texas and California, dedicated to helping patients rediscover clarity, stability, and a renewed sense of peace. She founded Pax Mentis Psychiatry with a vision of providing thoughtful, relationship-centered care in a calm and supportive environment—care that honors the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.

Dr. Mung completed her medical training at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and her psychiatry residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she also completed a fellowship and sub-specialized in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Her clinical expertise includes perinatal mental health, PTSD and trauma-related conditions, mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, and patient-centered medication management grounded in evidence-based practice and lifestyle-integrative principles.

She believes healing requires more than symptom reduction—it requires compassionate partnership, thoughtful listening, and a personalized approach that respects each patient’s unique story, strengths, and values. Her work blends clinical precision with a warm, holistic perspective, supporting patients through some of the most meaningful and challenging chapters of their lives.
